Our Group IT team is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Database Systems Lead to join us at our Head Office in Victoria Park, reporting to the Team Leader – Group Business Systems.
This role is ideal for a professional, adaptable and forward-thinking individual. You will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining and optimising critical database systems to ensure performance, security and reliability.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business

Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve database issues quickly to minimise downtime and maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure platforms meet governance, compliance and best-practice standards.
- Build robust relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to team members.
- Optimise and innovate to improve performance and processes.
- Lead initiatives that enhance reliability, efficiency and compliance.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience managing and optimising Microsoft SQL Server environments (on-prem and cloud).
- Strong skills in performance tuning, backup/restore and high-availability/disaster-recovery design.
- Ability to diagnose complex database and infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Organised, adaptable and focused on continuous improvement
