We are seeking a Combat Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of DDG CS upgrades under the Destroyer Capability Enhancement program.
The selected candidate will be responsible for contributing to architecture development and design coordination activities, as well as contributing to the development of the DDG CS Verification program.
* Contribute to and execute Combat System (CS) Systems Engineering activities supporting requirements analysis, architecture definition and development of subsystems and associated components in preparation for integration, test and trials/evaluation.
* Develop, maintain and update system functional and non-functional requirements and design artefacts.
* Prepare for and support the execution of major program milestones such as design reviews, test readiness and system readiness reviews.
* Develop, prosecute and support the implementation of approved Engineering Changes.
* Interact with specialty engineering disciplines, including but not limited to: Safety; Human Factors; Cyber; Topside and ILS for the purposes of achieving design assurance and holistic system compliance.
About You
* Past experience in Integration, Test and Evaluation of CS Products into Naval Platforms or equivalent complex Military Systems having challenging constraints.
* Substantial experience with Combat System requirements within a maritime context.
* Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, methods, tools and techniques.
* Experience in the design and development of military systems, including utilisation of GFX and COTS components.
* Substantial experience working in an engineering project multi-disciplinary environment.
* Experience working with a broad set of internal stakeholders and external partnering organisations to achieve common goals.
* Experience in development methodologies on complex modern systems using a documented process.
