We are seeking Trades Assistants to provide assistance and support to the tradespersons on mechanical repairs and servicing on all mobile and fixed plant equipment.
This is a residential role to Kalgoorlie, based out of our Kalgoorlie Service Centre, working Monday - Friday (10 hour days).
Responsibilities
* general housekeeping and cleaning of workshop
* general assistance for tradespeople – mixture of Diesel Fitters, LV Fitters, Boilermakers, Electricians, & Auto Electricians;
* machine cleaning include high pressure washing
* parts and supplies running between work site and workshop
* provide support to maximise availability of fixed and mobile plant & equipment with efficient, on time cost effective maintenance and repair
* attend and contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required
* complete all pre start checks prior to use of equipment
* conduct Take 5's and JSA's when required
Qualifications
* experience as a TA or Labourer
* mechanical aptitude
* the ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
* good communication skills, both verbally and written
