The Compliance Coordinator is an integral member of the MTA Training and Employment team, responsible for ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance and supporting the organisation's registration with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the South Australian Skills Act 2008 (SAS Act), and Skills SA funding agreements. Reporting to the General Manager Apprenticeships, the Compliance Coordinator leads and supports audits, maintains the Quality Compliance Framework, and manages continuous improvement initiatives.
About the Role
What You Will Do:
* Maintain the risk framework to ensure compliance with ASQA, the NVR Act, RTO Standards, VET Quality Framework, and SAS Act.
* Lead internal and external audits and prepare monthly compliance reports for the board.
* Support trainers and assessors by managing validation activities and maintaining current staff files.
* Oversee policy and procedure development, and promote continuous improvement and compliance culture.
* Manage key compliance registers, including continuous improvement, industry engagement, and complaints.
* Champion WHS standards and practices organisation-wide.
* Provide compliance guidance to staff and build relationships with stakeholders.
* Undertake ad hoc projects and represent the MTA at events as required.
What You Will Bring
* Excellent communication, time management, and strong attention to detail.
* Comprehensive understanding of the VET sector, including relevant standards and frameworks.
* Familiarity with training packages, competency units, assessment principles, and evidence rules.
* Experience with South Australian funding models and government agencies such as Skills Commission, Department of Education, and Skills SA.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, digitally literate, and effective working both independently and with diverse stakeholders.
* Relevant qualifications, including Diplomas in VET and/or Quality Auditing.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly regarded.
