Min Qualification required Cert 3 in Automotive or higher and Nissan experience highly preferred.
This is full-time employment working Monday-Friday from 8.00am till 4.30pm. With Overtime available.
As an experienced Service Technician your tasks and responsibilities will be :
* Carrying out regular vehicle maintenance services including the replacement of vehicle fluids such as oil, engine tune-ups or lubricants ensuring the vehicle runs effectively
* Determine vehicle condition by conducting intake inspections and diagnostics tests
* Identifying worn and damaged parts
* The accurate detection of faults in mechanical parts and vehicle engines using technical testing equipment such as computers where appropriate
* Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
* The removal and dismantling of mechanical components including transmissions, engine assemblies and steering mechanisms and completing a thorough inspection of the components
* Completing required repair work to mechanical components, or where necessary undertaking replacement of parts in accordance with relevant service manuals
* Reassembly of mechanical components post repair and conducting relevant tests to ensure the component is fully operational
* Liaise with service staff and management.
* Possess the ability to adapt to ever-changing technologies over a wide range of vehicles.
* Uphold the company's highest standards of customer satisfaction.
* Assist with Pre-deliveries and used vehicle reconditioning.
To be considered for this role you must:
* Have a minimum 24 months experience as a qualified technician.
* Hold a current Australian automotive trade license.
* Hold a current drivers license.
* Possess excellent communication skills and time management abilities.
* Flexible and willing to be a team player.
* Ability to work efficiently and meet or exceed targets and deadlines.
* Computer and tablet skills
* Sound knowledge on mechanical shop keeping
* Friendly and outgoing nature.
* Nissan experience an advantage.

* Engine overhaul repairs petrol
* Operation of diagnostic scan tool
* Timing Belt replacement
* Engine and Transmission replacement
* Clutch replacement
* Minor electrical repairs and trouble shooting
* Battery testing, replacement, trouble shooting
* Using all types of tools and power tools
