Rostering Officer job, Government entity, Wacol Location, paying $53 per hour
**Your new company**
You'll be part of a Government organisation promisingly located in the growth corridor of the South East Queensland region. You will be engaged at the entity's Wacol location of a 3-month contract as a Rostering Officer.
**Your new role**
You will be responsible for preparing and generating unit rosters and distributing information to staff on rostering allocations. You will process staffing variations, validate employee timesheets and provide information to management regarding roster costs and estimates. You will roster in accordance with award provisions and other associated industrial instruments. You will also be responsible for responding to staff enquiries related to roster or leave arrangements.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have proven experience in staff roster management. Experience in a 24/7 operating environment will be advantageous. You will possess strong planning and organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines. You will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use judgement and discretion with confidential information. You will be a good communicator and have the ability to listen, understand and to negotiate with staff on staffing/roster management and HR related issues
