gforce employment + recruitment currently has several exciting opportunities for passionate and motivated individuals to undertake an electrical apprenticeship with our client, a successful electrical company who are a leading provider of engineering, installation and maintenance solutions
Our clients are based in Melbourne, with a variety of projects throughout Melbourne and surrounding suburbs as well as Ballarat.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to continue an electrical apprenticeship and learn the trade amongst some very experienced and dedicated tradespeople.
The role:
Learn all aspects of the trade, including but not limited to the following
• Document and apply measures to control WHS risks associated with electrotechnology work
• Installation of power, lighting, conduit and cable tray.
• Arrange circuits control and protection for electrical installations
• Isolate test and troubleshoot electrical circuits
• Use of drawings, diagrams, cable schedules, standards, codes and specification
• Work on exciting projects in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne and Ballarat.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes-
• Completion of Cert II in Electrotechnology (pre-apprenticeship) or any other relevant electrical experience (work experience, trade assistant work etc)
• Basic technical skills and understanding of how electrical systems work
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Be reliable, motivated and committed to learning the trade
• Ability to work well in a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Current Drivers licence and reliable vehicle.

What to expect:
You will be required to work a 40-hour week (including Tafe training) and must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
