As we expand our portfolio, we're seeking a talented and commercially minded Project Accountant / Development Analyst to join our team and support the financial management of our property projects from feasibility through to completion. We are open to this being a part-time role tailored to the right applicant.
The Role
As Project Accountant / Development Analyst, you will play a key role in the financial delivery of development projects. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will provide commercial insights, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, and help drive profitable outcomes across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, analyse and maintain financial models and feasibility studies for new and existing projects.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly cost reporting for development projects.
* Produce variance analysis and highlight key commercial drivers to stakeholders.
* Assist with cost tracking, project accounting and cash flow management.
* Participate in due diligence, risk assessment and investment appraisal activities for potential new development projects.
* Work with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in project accounting, development finance, property analysis or a related discipline.
* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
* Experience preparing feasibility studies, budgets, cash-flows and variance reporting.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present clear financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
* Exposure to property development or construction industry.
* Experience with ERP and/or project feasibility systems (e.g., Xero, Estate Master).
