Your Role
This role is a casual Machine Operator responsible for operating fast‐paced recycling equipment and semi‐automated sorting machines at a bottle recycling facility. Responsibilities include collecting, sorting, disposing, and processing recyclable drink containers, handling forklifts for bin emptying, operating a point‐of‐sale system, and assisting with housekeeping, maintenance, and equipment reporting.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service
* Operate bulk sorting equipment for recyclable drink containers
* Use forklift to empty bins of sorted containers
* Operate point‐of‐sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
* Assist in housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, and report faulty equipment needing repair
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills and outstanding customer service ability
* Current valid Forklift Licence (Counter‐Balance) preferred
* Experience working in a warehouse and/or production environment
* Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently
* Thorough understanding of work, health, and safety requirements within a warehouse environment
