My client, a well‐known Electrical Contractor with a national presence in Australia are looking to appoint a new Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Melbourne team.
After a number of successful tender wins for major builders across the commercial construction, data centre, infrastructure and healthcare sectors, 2026 and 2027 are looking very busy for the company and as such the design team needs to grow and add leadership qualities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar level position working on high value packages of work in the commercial construction world, be that with a consultant or contracting background.
General Duties will include:
* Produce concept and detailed designs in line with client requirements
* Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
* Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
* Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning stages
* Complete concept reviews and undertaking detailed designs
* Participate in the delivery of electrical design components of large‐scale projects from inception to completion
* Utilise your problem‐solving skills to develop innovative solutions
* Work with clients across the country, as well as on major national defence projects
