Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an Aircraft Structural Fitter to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment and support team.
Program overview
The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support. This program sustains a critical combat capability, supports interoperability with coalition partners, and underpins Australia's land and joint operations.

Responsibilities
* Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with OHS policies and procedures.
* Conduct aircraft structural repairs in support of routine and phase-servicing requirements.
* Incorporate SPO-mandated/approved Modifications, Special Technical Instructions (STIs) and Deviations as directed.
* Ensure all personnel assigned to maintenance tasks are qualified and certified in accordance with 1 Avn Regt trade authorisation record.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
* Provide direction and instructions to assist in the development of technicians.
* Contribute to improvements in team performance by proposing solutions to problems and more effective methods of work.
Qualifications
* Holder of an iMMA (interim Military Maintenance Authority).
* Cert IV (or equivalent) qualified in Aircraft Structures with a minimum of two years current experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Structural.
* Apache Aircraft Familiarisation (CoA Provided).
* Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent.
* Minimum of five years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
* Sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures and documentation.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team and maintain productive working relationships.
* Working at Heights qualification.
* Secure Australian citizenship to meet defence security requirements.
