Your Responsibilities
* Creative Leadership and Visual Direction - Oversee the visual development and execution of CG sequences, ensuring they align with the project's artistic vision, narrative tone, and stylistic intent.
* Team Supervision and Mentorship - Guide and mentor CG artists across disciplines (modeling, texturing, lighting, FX, animation) to elevate quality, foster growth, and encourage a collaborative culture.
* Pipeline and Workflow Coordination -Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure efficient, scalable workflows and maintain consistency across assets and sequences.
* Tool & Process Innovation - Identify, propose, and help implement new tools, templates, and workflow solutions for the department and pipeline, ensuring alignment with project needs and industry best practices.
* Problem Solving and Creative Solutions - Address creative and technical challenges with practical, imaginative approaches while balancing artistic integrity and production demands.
* Cross-Department Collaboration - Work closely with compositing, editorial, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of CG elements into final shots.
* Client Interaction and Creative Review - Participate in client reviews and internal dailies, translating feedback into clear, actionable direction.
* Project Management Partnership - Support production in setting milestones, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery within schedule and budget.
* Technical Oversight - Work with the Head of CG and TDs to validate technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth interdepartmental workflows.
* Continuous Improvement - Keep up to date with emerging technologies and practices to maintain a strong creative and technical environment at Fin.
Qualifications
* 5+ years' experience as a CG Supervisor on high-calibre VFX film and TV episodic projects
* Thorough understanding of combining VFX elements into live-action plates
* Proven leadership with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Extensive technical knowledge of VFX production and CG pipelines, including ShotGrid, Houdini, USD, Maya, Nuke, Unreal, Solaris, Katana, Redshift, and Arnold
* Strong technical aptitude for solving creative and production-related challenges
* On-set VFX experience is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $140,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
