Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Shepparton. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and success of our operations, making you a key player in our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

To maximise equipment uptime and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery through a proactive, preventive maintenance program.

1. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to strict OH&S regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

2. Preventative Maintenance: Develop, execute, and refine a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to maximise equipment uptime and prevent failures.

3. Fault Diagnosis and Rectification: Promptly respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and perform effective repairs to minimise downtime.

4. Equipment Optimisation: Proactively identify opportunities to improve machinery performance. Undertake modifications and overhauls to enhance efficiency, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

5. Teamwork: Work closely with the production team to schedule maintenance, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure minimal disruption to our high-volume manufacturing schedule.

6. Reporting & Analysis: Maintain detailed maintenance logs, report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as uptime and PM completion rates and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

What We're Looking For:

· Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial/manufacturing plant

· Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability

· A hands-on, can-do attitude

· Highly motivated, reliable, and production-focused

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

· A team player who also takes ownership and initiative

· Strong safety mindset and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· years of experience as a maintenance technician in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

· Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred

· Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, a related trade preferred

Wages negotiable depending on experience
