About the role
Working alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing and Communications Lead is responsible for the day-to-day operations and the triaging of requests within the Marketing and Communications Team.
The role will be responsible for the proactive and best practices delivery of:
* Marketing campaigns
* Public Relations
* Community Engagement
* Social Media Management
* Brand Management
* Content Management
About you
* Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications role.
* Experience in the supervision of staff or project teams.
* Ability to lead, supervise and develop a Communications and Marketing team including annual planning, identifying training and development requirements and manage work performance.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and stakeholders.
* Proven experience working in partnership with a range of stakeholders including external consultants and service providers, as well as local, state and federal governments.
* Demonstrated ability to plan strategically, implement best practice policies, systems and standards.
* Proven ability to develop high quality communications across a range of platforms including website, social media platforms, media releases, council reports, marketing placements, strategies, and operational plans.
* Demonstrated delegation skills.
* High level of competency in the use of information technology systems and applications.
