Details: Our Facilities Fleet and Support Team are at the forefront of helping develop and implement this new working model for the ACT Government. To that end we are looking for a new team member to help us to provide support for our clients working in a modern and dynamic work environment that has been specifically designed to support a flexible work environment and activity-based working.

The Manager - Business Systems is primarily responsible for providing the required operational support to the Facilities, Fleet and Support Team through implementation, operation, management and maintenance of key critical systems used by the C-FFS Team.

This position will be the Subject Matter Expert on the internal systems and reporting mechanisms as used by the team.

The role will encompass design and development, in consultation with stakeholders, and the release, adaptation and continuous improvement of various facilities support systems and reporting (such as access control systems, desk booking, etc). There will be an emphasis on the development of data that supports

* Operational service delivery and management
* efficient facilities utilisation
* informs and supports senior executive decision making.

The position is required to engage in continual problem solving, complex and issues management, have outstanding multi-tasking skills and the capability to prioritise constantly.

The role will also include facilities and fleet support including the coordination of facilities maintenance and repairs, security support, Emergency Management, accommodation services, procurement, project management, sustainability reporting and administration in relation to facilities and fleet matters.

The successful applicant will have

* sound customer service skills and experience
* experience and understanding of contemporary facilities management practices (particularly in relation to Activity Based Work environments)
* able to work collaboratively and collegiately with stakeholder at all levels members across suppliers, customers and clients, other specialist and members of the facilities, fleet and support team.
* Prior experience in mentoring, developing and supervising staff and leading a team.

Eligibility/Other Requirements

Driver’s licence, Class C - Car licence, is desirable

Ability to be in the office 4 days a week

Notes: This is a Permanent position A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

This position is located in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
