The role involves applying basic to intermediate engineering principles to complete design computations, prepare technical reports, design plans, and details. The Engineering Associate may also make minor project decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepares and reviews design computations, plan designs, and drawings.Reviews submittals and coordinates project submissions.Prepares and reviews specifications, draft letters, and technical reports.Completes inspections and fieldwork as needed.Researches, reviews, interprets, and applies written regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements to design projects.Maintains documentation of work and project records.Possesses knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards.Develops accurate, clear, deliverable drawings.Supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors.Performs work within assigned budgets.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited school, Landscape Architecture, or related field.No prior relevant work experience required; internships in the A/E industry are a plus.Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.QualificationsProficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Microstation, InRoads, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and related software.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong desire to expand knowledge and responsibilities in the architectural field.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to work independently and in teams.EEO StatementLarson Design Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
