About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team, with a proven track record of managing complex mid-market and corporate accounts.

1. Manage end-to-end underwriting processes for new business, renewals, and endorsements, ensuring timely delivery of quality products and services.
\
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers across the country, leveraging negotiation skills to drive new business and maximize account retention.
\
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build a sustainable new business pipeline and proactively address customer needs with tailored solutions.
\
4. Monitor and manage underwriting portfolio performance, applying remediation to stressed accounts to maintain profitability and mitigate risks.
\
5. Stay informed on market trends and maintain an active presence within the regional and Line of Business community to support strategic positioning.

6. About You

7. Demonstrated experience in commercial underwriting or account management, specifically within property, liability, or motor fleet risk in General Insurance.
\
8. Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative, trusted relationships with key intermediaries to drive business outcomes and position AAL as a market leader.
\
9. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a dynamic environment.
\
10. Customer-centric approach, with a track record of delivering high-quality services and optimizing value to enhance customer experience and retention.
\
11. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify actionable insights, and communicate with clarity and impact.
