About Blackwater Mine :

Situated 73 kilometres south-east of Emerald, Blackwater is the second-largest open-cut metallurgical coal mine in the Bowen Basin. This long-life operation began in 1967 and has grown to become one of the longest coal mines in the Southern Hemisphere, with a strike length of 80 kilometres. Blackwater extracts high-quality metallurgical and thermal coal for export using truck and shovel, loader, and dragline equipment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Business Partner, this role supports leaders with core HR processes, culture, engagement, and general HR activities at Blackwater mine site. Key activities include coaching, change management, workforce optimisation, culture initiatives, and managing IR, ER, and performance issues.

What You'll Do

* Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on performance and conduct matters.
* Guide leaders on interpreting the enterprise agreement and legislation.
* Support employee onboarding processes.
* Assist in developing HR procedures, systems, templates, and reports.
* Focus on continuous improvement.
* Lead HR project activities.

What You'll Bring

* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field.
* 3-5 years of HR generalist/Business Partner experience.
* Experience working in a heavy industry environment.
* Experience supporting workplace investigations.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
