Job Description
Purpose of the role:
1. A key point of contact for clients and provide both pre and post sales technical advice and support. Liaise regularly and directly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as engineering, purchasing, production and quality, as well as senior company managers.
2. Accountable for achieving sales targets and growing product/system sales within their allocated region.
3. Ensure that company operating, and cost efficiencies are obtained, quality and safety standards are achieved, and customer delivery deadlines are met.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
4. Researching and developing new Customers
5. Meeting sales targets and developing annual budgets with the HD Manager
6. Initiate and develop contact with key and target customers including Design consultants, End Users & OEMs to establish and manage strong long-term relationships
7. Manage direct sales channels for Hägglunds components and drive systems
8. Calculating Customer quotations, negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs
9. Providing pre-sales technical assistance and engineering system designs to allow for production
10. Analyses of cost and sales
11. Preparing sales & marketing reports for various stakeholders
12. Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team
13. Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
14. Making technical presentations and demonstrating how Hägglunds products and solutions meet Customer’s needs
15. Management of projects alongside the sales team and other technical experts
16. Develop and establish a high level of technical competence and knowledge applicable to our products, applications, and control systems
17. Develop Regional Sales and formulate customer solutions related to Large Hydraulic Drives (Hägglunds products), while also promoting where practicable other Bosch Rexroth products and services
18. Prepare & present technical and commercial quotations
19. Produce forecasts on market sales, growth, and profit
20. Develop and recommend pricing strategies based on both strategic and competitive considerations.
21. Customer support and management
22. Assist the Service & Quality teams on quality, warranty and / or customer care issues.
23. Travel to customer locations to provide face to face contact
Qualifications
24. Willing to travel regularly to various locations throughout Australia and New Zealand
25. Minimum of 3-5 years proven sales experience in a similar role
26. Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
27. Minimum Cert III Fitter and Machinist Trade Certificate or equivalent from a similar trade Plant Mechanic
28. Experience in Hydraulic Engineering/Production or Service
29. Customer focused
30. Proficient PC and Microsoft Office Skills
