Major Responsibilities:
* Provides knowledge and expertise in a particular discipline, subject matter, or specialized process required for construction (e.g., tunnel boring, site de‐watering, glove boxes, special coatings systems, HVAC systems, Fire Detection and Suppression, reactor tender gallery coordinator, etc.)
* Provides technical consultation support to projects.
Work Planning & Packaging
* Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
* Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of \"as built\" drawings and other job plans.
Material Management
* Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
* Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities
* Leads the verification of commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control
* Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Technical
* Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
* Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Prior practical engineering work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the design construction and commissioning requirements of LV and MV electrical power generators and distribution equipment.
* Prior practical engineering work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the design construction and commissioning requirements of process equipment including pumps, compressors, instrumentation and control equipment.
* Willingness and ability to work FIFO rosters, travelling to/from various office/project site locations within Australia.
* Safety, quality, cost, and outcome focussed.
* Demonstrated leadership in a team‐based environment.
* Knowledge of a single or multi‐discipline construction or engineering operation.
* Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards. Exposure to completion system would be advantageous.
* Experience working with, supervising, and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.
