JB's Diesel & Mechanical is growing fast, and we're ready for the next big step. We're on the lookout for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter who's not only hands-on with the tools, but also passionate about leading people, improving systems, and bringing structure to a busy workshop.
This is a key leadership role within our business. You'll work closely with the Company Director to oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, guide the team, and help take our operation to the next level of professionalism and efficiency.

The Role
As our Leading Hand / Workshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for keeping the workshop running smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. Your role will include:
* Organising and managing the daily workshop schedule in line with the booking diary
* Keeping the workshop team focused, on task, and working within allocated timeframes
* Providing guidance, leadership, and direction to workshop employees
* Maintaining workflow, organisation, and standards across the shed
* Managing weekly workshop supplies and stock levels
* Carrying out repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles, machinery, and equipment
* Leading by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll still be doing fitter work while helping the team perform at their best.

* Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter
* Natural leadership skills with the ability to organise people and workflows
* Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not required
