About the role
We are looking for Relief Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites spread across Melbourne. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
* Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
* Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
* Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
* Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.
* Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
* Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.
Skills & Experience:
* Full Australian working rights
* Valid Security Licence and First Aid and CPR
* Certificate II in Security Operations (Or higher)
* Working with children check (or willing to apply for one)
* 24*7 Availability
* Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment
* Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
* Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
* Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.
* Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
