Mornington Island Hospital is a remote Level 2 hospital under the Rural and Remote Clinical Services Capability Framework. The facility provides 24-hour acute inpatient and accident and emergency care. Staffing consists of a medical officer and registered nurses on each shift 24 hours a day, with administration support, cleaners and maintenance workers. Mornington Island Hospital consists of 8 general medical beds and 4 Emergency department beds. Mornington Island is home to some world-renowned Indigenous Artist and is a great place to live and work
About the role
The Clinical Nurse (CN) will provide clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research. The role supports management activities including portfolio responsibilities. Apply change management principles by providing support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promotion of cooperation and collaborative teamwork.

Requirements
* Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* A post graduate qualification or currently enrolled in a post graduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
Benefits
* Base salary ranges between $107,960 and $115,604 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1).
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
* Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
* For 1 year you will receive an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500; for 2 years AUD$10,500; and for the 3rd year (and every year after) AUD$7,000.
* 2 return airfares per annum (including spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with recreation leave; 5 weeks leave per year with a 17.5% loading/bonus.
* In downtime, staff accommodation (if eligible) or a private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months; 2 weeks per year travel as required; enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.
