We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as an Asset Finance Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in generating asset finance opportunities with existing and new clients across various asset classes.
Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing sales strategies that proactively create opportunities to grow market share. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to build lasting business relationships.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of asset finance products, including structuring solutions to minimize capital outlay, align payments to income generation, and provide flexibility for asset liquidation/disposal.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth. As an Asset Finance Specialist, you will work closely with Relationship Executives to identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist advice to clients on financing strategic assets, including structuring solutions to minimize capital outlay and align payments to income generation.
* Understand different asset types and their role in generating revenue for clients.
* Upskill and support Relationship Executives on the Asset Finance market and solutions through regular team meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
* Assist clients and Relationship Executives navigate tax implications, titles, and options for structuring loan terms based on CBA asset finance policies and tax legislation.
* Regularly review how clients are banking with CBA and identify opportunities for gaining or building on existing asset finance business.
* Win new-to-bank business by seeking referrals and contacting potential clients directly and attending meetings with bankers.
Requirements
* Able to view situations from a commercial or business perspective and understand market, customer needs, and competitors.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including proficiency in MS Office suite.
* Confidence as a presenter, adapting style to meet audience, and creating compelling presentation materials that exude credibility and professionalism.
* Understands and applies the sales cycle, turning enquiries into firm contracts, and acting as key contact for asset-heavy clients.
* Previous experience in business banking or business-to-business environment, with knowledge of cash flow, working capital, capital expenditures, taxes, and regulations.
* Broad knowledge of asset-heavy industries and differences in geography.
* Risk Mindset – proactive identification and understanding of current and future risks.
