Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence through its values of respect, integrity, spirituality, and excellence.
Position
Swan Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our Junior School teaching team. This is a full-time, fixed-term cover position for Term 3, commencing 20 July 2026.
The successful candidate will teach a Primary class, delivering engaging, evidence-based learning within a collaborative, Christ-centred environment. You will support students' academic, personal, and spiritual growth, fostering a positive classroom community and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and apply an understanding of Christian education, aligning with the College's values and mission.
* Actively contribute to all aspects of College life and work collaboratively within the teaching team.
* Plan, deliver, and assess learning programs within a biblical framework, supporting student growth.
* Differentiate teaching to meet diverse student needs and take responsibility for student learning outcomes.
* Engage in pastoral care and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and wellbeing.
* Maintain professional standards through ongoing development, accurate reporting, and adherence to College policies.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
* Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
* Accept and align with the Association's Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of belief, and educational objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with families, Head Office staff, and the College community.
* Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Show initiative, sound problem-solving ability, and make informed decisions under time constraints.
* Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to apply.
Desirable
* Knowledge of National Quality Standards (NQS).
* An understanding of different learning styles and how that impacts the delivery of differentiated programs.
* Experience in learning with technology, BYOD, interactive whiteboards and flipped classrooms.
* Familiarity with restorative behaviour management approaches and strategies.
