Overview
We are seeking an Engineering & Development Officer to join our City Engineering team and play a key role in shaping quality infrastructure outcomes for our growing community.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess engineering components of development, building and subdivision applications
* Provide technical advice and apply appropriate development conditions
* Liaise with developers and consultants to ensure future infrastructure asset requirements are met
* Ensure timely responses in line with statutory and internal timeframes
* Review engineering drawings for compliance with relevant standards
* Undertake inspections during construction and maintenance periods
* Ensure works comply with Subdivision Outstanding Works and Maintenance Bond Policies
* Calculate, register and release subdivision bonds in accordance with policy
* Process applications for works within the road reserve
* Coordinate with utility providers, contractors and the public
* Ensure compliance with Council standards and guidelines
* Investigate internal and external engineering enquiries
* Provide clear, timely advice in accordance with Council's Customer Service Charter
* Maintain accurate documentation and records
