Located in Wagga Wagga, Enirgi Power Storage Recycling (EPSR) operates a best practice battery recycling facility processing lead acid batteries.
A position is available for a Mechanical Fitter to work on fixed and mobile plant. The chosen candidate will work with other maintenance employees as well as shift production teams to ensure the plant is operational meeting production targets whilst improving environmental and safety standards.
The position is Monday to Friday with the option of a 9-day fortnight or 4 day week available. All options are 38hr weeks.
All tools and PPE are supplied and any training required to be undertaken is done at no cost to the employee
Key Skills
* Ensures equipment is operational and available to meet production requirements of the business
* Identifies spare parts required and alerts Maintenance Supervisor when parts are not available
* Performs final quality inspections and sign-off as required for goods leaving work area
* Conducts machine inspections/preventative maintenance activities and reports back any faults identified
* Providing emergency breakdown repairs
* Experience rebuilding pumps advantageous
* Undertaking preventative maintenance tasks
* Continuous improvement and modifications to existing systems
* Mobile equipment monitoring and maintenance
* Basic computer skills.
Requirements
* Mechanical Fitter/Boilermaker/Diesel fitter trade qualification
* 3 years' experience in relevant field
* Mechanical problem solving
* Be able to work at heights
* Basic knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics
* Ability to remain calm and focused in pressure situations within the workplace.
* Work additional hours during major shuts (twice per year)
* High level organizational and time management skills.
* Sound knowledge and compliance with Workplace Health and Safety
* Communicate effectively
* Current drivers' licence
