1KOMMA5° is a global renewable energy company transforming how homes generate, store and use energy. As our Australian operations continue to scale rapidly, we operate through high-performance "Pods" — agile teams responsible for delivering installations efficiently and at scale.
We're looking for an Operations Manager (Pod Manager) to take ownership of a State Pod (QLD, NSW or VIC) and ensure seamless coordination between procurement, scheduling, administration and field operations.
This is a hands‐on operational position, where you will drive accountability, streamline logistics, and ensure our installations run like clockwork — from warehouse to rooftop.
The Role:
The State Operations Lead acts as the central point of accountability for the Pod, ensuring the team delivers against installation targets, maintains operational discipline, and drives continuous improvement.
You will orchestrate workflow across scheduling, procurement, and administration while maintaining tight control of service levels, logistics, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities: Pod Leadership & Accountability
* Lead a cross‐functional Pod consisting of Install Booking, Administration, and Procurement.
* Manage day‐to‐day operational friction between teams to keep installations moving.
* Run daily and weekly WIP (Work in Progress) meetings to prioritise work and resolve bottlenecks.
* Drive a high‐accountability culture as the team scales.
Process & SLA Management
* Establish and enforce internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across Pod functions.
* Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements and SOPs.
* Monitor workload and capacity planning to ensure installation targets are met.
Logistics & Quality Oversight
* Coordinate with warehouse and 3PL logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
* Oversee procurement planning and stock availability for upcoming installs.
* Maintain strict standards around documentation, compliance, and installation readiness.
Commercial & KPI Ownership
* Own key operational metrics including:
o Time-to-Install
o Margin per Job
o Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
o First‐Time Fix Rate
* Provide clear reporting to the Operations Director on state performance, risks, and resourcing.
About You:
* 5+ years experience in operational management, logistics, project management, or construction/trades environments.
* Background in solar, renewables, electrical or construction is highly desirable.
* A confident people leader comfortable managing both office teams and field‐based trades.
* Highly process‐driven, with the ability to identify operational gaps and implement solutions.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how operational delays impact margins and customer experience.
* Thrive in fast‐paced, high‐growth environments where priorities shift quickly.

On offer here is a generous base salary of $120k + super + bonus.
