Located in Claremont, our newly renovated venue is an ideal setting for a Sous Chef to thrive.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef with kitchen operations and meal production.
* Supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef.
* Kitchen Management:
o Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed.
o Maintain stock control and ordering systems.
o Enforce proper food safety and hygiene practices.
* Team Development:
o Train and develop new and current staff members.
Requirements:
* A strong attention to detail and trade qualification (certificate III in commercial cookery).
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
* Familiarity with cost control and COGS (Cost of Goods Sold).
* A passion for food and cooking.
* Resilience and adaptability, including flexibility to work varied shifts.
* Strong computer literacy and interpersonal skills.
