Technical Network Support Specialist
Talison Lithium is a leading lithium minerals producer with the world's largest high-grade ore body. Our Operational Technology (OT) team focuses on developing technologies to improve control and decision-making associated with operations, maintenance, and support services.
We are seeking a Technical Network Support Specialist to join our OT team, responsible for maintaining physical technical aspects to ensure the operability of site-wide fixed and wireless networks. This role involves providing shift coverage for site communications and critical operational technology systems.
Duties
* Level 1 support for wireless network failures, faults, and communication issues
* Level 1 support for fixed network failures, faults, and communication issues
* Level 1 support for Fleet Management system failures, faults, and issues
* Level 1 support for Autonomous Drill network communications
* Level 1 support for Process Control System network issues
* Level 1 support for Server and storage issues
* Level 1 support for Digital Radio system issues
* Level 1 support for Miscellaneous IOT device issues
* Elevate issues to relevant vendors in line with service level agreements and supported standards
* Assist in tracking and reporting vendor service level agreements
* Coordinate or execute scheduled maintenance of supported systems
* Maintain the health and performance of supported systems
* Monitor and maintain coverage and mobile base station systems
* Configure and install new or replacement network/communications equipment
* Manage external vendors and contractors
* Provide commissioning and project support for communications and technical systems
Requirements and Skills
* Able to work safely, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
* Able to operate independently, liaising with other people or teams as required
* Current C class drivers licence
* Prior experience with similar technologies
* Hands-on exposure in communications and networking
* A proven analytical approach and demonstrated organisational skills
* Problem identification, triage, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis investigations
* Strong written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
* Conceptual understanding of mining-related systems such as Fleet Management and SCADA
* Proficiency in configuration and change management tools and processes
* Maintain positive vendor relationships and alignment with service level agreements
* Relevant qualification advantageous
