The Clinical Technology Manager overseas a group of Calibration Technicians responsible for equipment calibrations and maintenance.
Permanent, full-time role position.
Flexible remote work within Australia. Preferably, in proximity to our Head Office in Macquarie Park, NSW.

Your opportunity

As the Clinical Technology Manager,you'll be reporting to the Product and Clinical Contracts Manager. You will ensure effective management, calibration and maintenance of clinical technology and equipment, including being responsible for managing policies, procedures, technical standards and compliance to meet National Standards and contractual obligations. This role manages clinical equipment lifecycle and purchasing, and works closely with Hearing Australia's IT Department to ensure clinical and IT equipment interact correctly addressing any configuration issues.

Manage Clinical Technology & Equipment

Oversee lifecycle management, calibration, maintenance, and repair of clinical equipment, including Stage C Calibration Laboratory operations. Ensure compliance with standards and support Telehealth technology.

Lead People & Teams

Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Calibration Technicians. Foster a high-performing team culture and manage employee issues.

Oversee Hearing Australia's Hearing Aid Repair Program

Ensure hearing aid repairs are well managed across the business by tracking repair statics, monitoring repair costs and ensuring Customer Service Specialists receive effective training to complete minor repairs and hearing aid maintenance.

Collaborate with IT

Ensure seamless integration of clinical and IT systems, resolve technical issues, and support equipment/software upgrades and deployments.

Ensure Compliance & Standards

Maintain calibration accreditation including Stage C calibration laboratory, update policies and protocols, and monitor compliance with National Standards and regulatory and contractual requirements. This includes ensuring all locations have a current Ambient Noise Certificate.

Risk Management

Implement and monitor risk management strategies related to clinical technology. Develop contingency plans for technology failures to minimise service disruption.

Provide Technical Expertise & Training

Deliver expert advice, training, and support to staff on clinical technology, equipment use, and maintenance. Participate in tenders as technology expert.

Manage Clinical Equipment Purchasing

Oversee equipment purchasing within budget, evaluate new technologies, and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers. Including being involved in tenders.

What You'll Bring

We believe the successful candidate will have a strong track record of improving risk and compliance outcomes across an organisation. You'll bring:

High level of knowledge of electronics, acoustics and information technology that can be applied to hearing aids, clinical equipment, and associated device technology (including software)
Familiarity with resolving operating system, driver conflicts and software/ hardware interface issues
Experience with working with external stakeholders and ability to build a positive and influential presence
Relevant Associate Diploma for an Australian TAFE institution or other appropriate qualification, such as Associate Diploma in Electronics Engineering, or more than 5 years relevant industry experience
Current driver's license
