About The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our Lake Macquarie Community Mental Health team in Charlestown. Responsibilities include:
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments for adults with moderate to severe mental health needs.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions across in-clinic appointments, home visits, and telehealth.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers to provide holistic, recovery-oriented support.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and develop individual treatment plans.
- Contribute to service planning, participate in clinical supervision, and engage in quality improvement initiatives.

About You
We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist who thrives in recovery-focused, holistic care. You’ll bring solid clinical and time management skills, work independently and within a multidisciplinary team, and engage in weekly clinical reviews, case conferences, and daily team huddles. You’ll have structured supervision and professional development support. Flexibility in therapeutic approaches and ongoing growth are valued.
Requirements include:
- Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of at least two years full-time duration or recognised equivalent (displayed on the AHPRA website).
- Provisional Psychologists enrolled in an APAC-accredited Master of Clinical Psychology Course may be considered (Clinical Psychologists in Training). If in Training, nominate your placement coordinator as a referee.
