Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on the design, installation support, commissioning, and ongoing optimisation of HVAC systems. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, technicians, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Design HVAC and mechanical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection. Support project teams during installation, commissioning, and testing phases. Conduct site inspections and provide technical advice to clients and contractors. Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and system optimisation. Assist in preparing project cost estimates and tender documentation. Troubleshoot mechanical and system performance issues. Maintain accurate project records and engineering documentation. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC or building services engineering. Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and Australian standards. Proficiency in engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Experience with load calculation and system modelling tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Valid driver's licence (if site visits required). Desirable Skills Experience in energy modelling or sustainable building design. Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS). Project management or site supervision experience.
