The Role
Toll Global Forwarding is seeking a high‐calibre Customs Broker who can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane. In this role you will ensure compliance, accuracy and productivity when completing import and export clearance regulation requirements, educate clients about customs regulations and tariffs, and guide goods through customs.
Responsibilities
* Understand customers' business needs, professionalism, and reliability: Focus on comprehending the specific requirements of clients and maintaining a high level of professionalism and reliability.
* Effect customs clearance: Handle various aspects of customs clearance, including:
o Classification of import products
o Customs valuation
o Lodgement of DAFF and ABF barrier requirements
o PWA, refund and drawback applications
o SCA review
o Tariff advice application, when necessary
* Prepare customs documentation: Ensure all necessary customs documentation is accurately prepared.
* Ensure compliance with laws: Make sure shipments comply with all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods.
* Determine and track duties and taxes: Calculate and monitor duties and taxes payable, and process payments on behalf of clients.
* Problem solving and representation: Engage in proactive and reactive problem solving to enhance customer satisfaction, sign documents under a power of attorney, represent clients in meetings with customs officials, apply for duty refunds and tariff reclassifications, and coordinate transportation and storage of imported goods.

Qualifications
* A current Australian Customs Broker Licence
* Class 19.1 and 19.2 NCCC & AEPCOMM Accreditation
Skills and Experience
* Experience with CargoWise One (essential)
* Client‐focused with ability to conduct product audits and duty reviews
* Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
* Accurate classification of products
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* A solutions‐focused approach and a willingness to adapt to day‐to‐day objectives
