Our client is seeking an experienced Integration & Test Project Engineer to join a major Defence acquisition program in Sydney. In this role, you'll lead integration and testing activities across a cutting edge land based system, ensuring seamless design, verification, and handover to production.
This is an exciting prospect for a skilled engineer with a systems mindset and integration/testing expertise to work at the forefront of Defence simulation capability delivery. This role is crucial for the ADF in support of the warfighter in land combat operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all system integration and test activities across assigned projects, working with systems, design, test, and production teams.
- Develop and execute inspection and test procedures and reports as part of the V&V; framework.
- Deliver and manage software integration rigs and prototype development rigs throughout the design phase.
- Support unit-level, integration, and system-level testing, ensuring compliance with standards and requirements.
- Assist sustainment teams with diagnostics and testing for system-level issues beyond technician capability.
- Manage integration-based documentation, including integration plans and Interface Control Drawings (ICDs).
- Liaise with engineers, technicians, and suppliers to ensure timely, quality delivery.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Systems preferred).
- Minimum 5 years' experience leading integration and testing work packages in Defence
- Solid grounding in systems engineering to support integration and test work.
- Proven ability to deliver on contract, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Excellent communication, proactive approach, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Must hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible for an AGSVA NV1 clearance.
