Are you an organised, proactive and friendly administrator looking to contribute to a high-quality early childhood service? Possum Place Child Care Centre is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to support our director and team in delivering exceptional Child Care services to our community.
About The Role
In this key role, you will provide vital administrative support to the Director, childcare educators, and senior management staff. You'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service by managing administration related to finance, HR, communication, and compliance — while being a welcoming first point of contact for families and stakeholders.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be part of a collaborative team committed to providing quality care in a warm and inclusive environment.
Provide high-level administrative support to the Director and senior staff
Ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements related to funding, child attendance, and service operations
Handle customer service enquiries with professionalism and respect
Assist with finance, invoicing, payroll, and HR-related tasks
Manage office systems including filing, records, and archive maintenance
Communicate effectively with families, staff, and service participants
Adapt to and utilise changing technology systems
Undertake ongoing professional development relevant to early childhood services
About You
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and administrative software
Experience in office administration, ideally in a child care or education setting
A collaborative, respectful approach to communication and teamwork
Willingness to undertake professional learning and adapt to change
