Payroll Specialist Job Description
The key objective of the SAP Payroll Specialist role is to deliver accurate national payroll for approximately 30,000 team members on-time every week.
Responsibilities:
* Payroll Processing: End-to-end weekly payroll processing for employees using SAP Employee Central Payroll.
* Post Payroll Activities: Completing STP reconciliation and other post-payroll activities in a timely manner.
* Complex Payroll Cases: Timely resolution of complex payroll cases using Service Now.
* Payment Adjustments: Processing payment adjustments, termination payments, and overpayments efficiently.
* Knowledge Sharing: Maintaining and managing payroll process and policy documentation and actively sharing knowledge with team members.
* Risk Management: Identifying key risk areas and developing/implementing action plans to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements:
* Australian Payroll Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of Australian Payroll regulations.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years payroll experience with systems experience - SAP ECP being necessary, Service Now and/or UKG also ideal.
* Organizational Skills: Experience working in larger organisations, within a fast-paced environment, managing high-volume payroll.
* Legislative Knowledge: Knowledge of Australian legislation and award interpretation.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to solve complex problems relating to payroll, leave, and GL accounts.
* Time Management: Excellent time management skills, eye for detail, and accuracy.
* Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to document and deliver process improvements.
