Disability Support Worker Job Description
The role of a Disability Support Worker is to provide quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily living activities. This includes assisting with personal care, household chores, and participating in community activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess the ability to act with trust and integrity. They will also have a willingness to undertake personal care services and work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Providing personal care and support to individuals with disabilities
* Assisting with household chores and daily living activities
* Participating in community activities and outings
* Working collaboratively with other support staff to achieve positive outcomes for clients
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Essential:
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Ability to use computers and learn various software and programs
* A valid Australian driver's license
* Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screening Check prior to commencement
