Atlas Fuels is a growing logistics and fuel services business supporting industry across Western Australia. We’re building a people-first culture and are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead our HR and workplace relations function end-to-end.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Directors, you will design and deliver HR strategies that lift capability, engagement and compliance across the business. You’ll partner closely with operational leaders to ensure we attract, develop and retain high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the HR agenda: develop practical people strategies, policies and annual plans aligned to business goals; track outcomes and continuously improve.
- Talent & capability: guide managers on best-practice recruitment and selection; run onboarding; design training and development pathways that build skills fast.
- Performance & culture: implement a fair performance framework—goal setting, reviews, coaching and improvement plans—to drive individual and team results.
- Workplace relations: represent the company in discussions with employees and unions regarding pay, benefits and employment conditions; maintain positive, constructive relationships.
- Safety, inclusion & compliance: roll out WHS initiatives and EEO programs, monitor compliance with relevant legislation and company standards, and report on metrics.
- Change & restructuring: apply redundancy and redeployment processes respectfully and lawfully, supporting leaders and affected staff.
- Workforce analytics: keep a close eye on labour costs, rosters and productivity; provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Lead & uplift: coach managers on HR and ER matters; build HR capability across the business.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years’ HR leadership experience, ideally in logistics, transport, fuel, resources or industrial settings.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment law, the Fair Work system, enterprise bargaining and contemporary awards.
- Proven experience running recruitment, performance, learning, safety and ER/IR processes end-to-end.
- Skilled negotiator and trusted advisor with excellent judgement, confidentiality and stakeholder management.
- Comfortable with HRIS/reporting and Microsoft 365; data-driven and action-oriented.
