Rex is Australia's largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of 57 Saab 340 and 10 Boeing 737-800NG aircraft to 56 destinations throughout all states in Australia. In addition to the airline Rex, the Rex Group comprises wholly owned subsidiaries Pel-Air Aviation (air freight, aeromedical and charter operator) and the two pilot academies, Australian Airline Pilot Academy in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat.
Expressions of interest are sought from qualified and motivated individuals for the role of Accounts Officer based in Mascot. The position is a 6-month contract with the opportunity to convert to permanent.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other tasks within the Finance department
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Responding to queries from creditors as they arise
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Assists in preparation of monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- General filing, scanning and other administrative duties
**Selection Criteria**:
- Relevant tertiary degree in Finance or Accounting
- Good understanding and knowledge in accounting
- Computer literacy with Microsoft suite, in particular Excel
- Ability to work accurately with high volume of data to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills
