The role
We're on the hunt for a brilliant mind who looks beyond the obvious, enjoys a good challenge, and is ready to make a tangible impact on our shared journey of excellence to join us as our new Senior Internal Auditor (IT).
As a Senior Internal Auditor at A&G, you'll be a strategic partner, a critical thinker, and an internal audit champion.
Our job is to review the organisation holistically, providing independent and objective assurance and advice over risk management practices and controls in areas like cybersecurity, data privacy, supply chain risks, ESG, human capital, artificial intelligence, corporate governance, and a whole host of other areas vital to the operational success of our business. This role looks across the entire organisation, diving deep into the heart of our operations and providing valuable insights and recommendations that create value, drive our success and protect our future.
Position Accountabilities
In this role, you will be:
* Leading and executing diverse internal audit engagements across A&G's business and functions.
* Identifying risks, evaluating controls, and recommending practical solutions.
* Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
* Crafting clear, impactful audit reports.
* Mentoring junior team members and improving of our audit function.
What Experience You'll Bring
* You're more than just an auditor; you're a problem-solver, a communicator, and a trusted advisor.
* Experienced: 6+ years of internal audit experience or a related field.
* Qualified: Tertiary qualification (CISA or CIA would be well regarded).
* Curious & Proactive: Inquisitive, always seeking "why" and probing deep into the issues.
* Communication Champion: Articulates complex ideas clearly, influencing stakeholders.
* Integrity Driven: Embodies the A&G Way – high performance with integrity.
* Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with data analytics tools to enhance productivity and audit effectiveness.
Location –Toowong
Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.
Conveniently based at Toowong Village tower with views of the mountains and the Brisbane River, our location is only 4 km from the city and provides access to retail, restaurants and other amenities.
