Your Opportunity
Mission Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager who is passionate about providing expert case practice advice to staff in the management of clients with multiple and complex needs.
You will be responsible for leading, managing and developing teams to deliver high quality and contractually compliant services to our clients in local communities.
This management position will oversee the Family Preservation and Domestic and Family Violence Services across Nowra, Ulladulla, and Shellharbour.
These programs deliver targeted intervention services to families including counselling and family mediation, parenting programs, mental health supports, and case management.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead and provide guidance to the team in the delivery of the program and contractual requirements to clients.
- Provide supervision and support to the team and address any areas of development.
- Act as an escalation point, on call for the service to ensure issues are resolved quickly.
- Respond to and manage employee grievances and undertake disciplinary action.
- Undertake recruitment and selection of current and replacement staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other key internal stakeholders.
- Develop beneficial relationships with the Funding Body, external government agencies and community groups.
- Approve and monitor program expenditure and client brokerage in line with the program budget.
- Complete a range of Budget, WHS and compliance administration duties.
- Ensure the service is meeting compliance, funding agreements and create reports including comprehensive program and client data statistics and reports.
Requirements for Success:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams in a complex service delivery setting.
- Relevant degree with significant experience in Community Services
- Knowledge of issues facing vulnerable families and their children
- Experience in the field of child protection including the context and complexity of child and family work.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Previous experience in budget and financial management
- Demonstrated interest in community and social outcomes.
- A Current Driver's License
