About the role
We are seeking Disability Support Workers to deliver care and assistance across Community and Direct Care service areas. Our Disability Services team is committed to providing high-quality support that empowers individuals to maintain independence and thrive within their community.
About you
Our Disability Support Workers (DSW) provide quality care and support to people with disabilities to create and live the lifestyle of their choosing while empowering them to have a voice and achieve their goals.
Services may include:
* Supporting clients to reach their goals through direct and group-based activities including community access and engagement
* Providing individual personal care services
* Perform a range of domestic duties including cleaning, shopping and cooking
* Assist to develop, review and update support plans that are achievable and client focused
Skills, Experience & Requirements
* Experience and knowledge in the Disability sector
* Certificate III Individual Support or Certificate IV Disability or similar
* Knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families
* Person-Centred approach to providing care and services
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
* Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
You may be required to work a range of morning, afternoon, weekend and full day shifts
