Job Title: Senior Communications Executive
We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead client communications in our Financial Sector division. This is a contracted position where you will be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating communications activities and optimising outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Liaison: Attend regular client meetings, manage day-to-day client liaison and ensure key milestones and projects are delivered on time
* New Business Initiatives: Participate in new business initiatives including networking, conducting research and developing proposals
* Content Creation: Draft high-quality press releases, speeches and articles for clients with minimal supervision
* Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists, hosting client meet & greets/interviews
* Trend Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends and analyse data and market trends to provide strategic insights and recommendations
* Opportunity Identification: Proactively contribute ideas to identify and pursue new opportunities with clients
* Briefing Documents: Develop detailed media Q&As and client briefing documents
* Media Monitoring: Monitor media coverage and track results
* Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly activity reports
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in a PR agency with proven media pitching experience to the financial press
* Must be based in Sydney, New South Wales
* Financial Sector knowledge/corporate communications background
* High-quality written and spoken English
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Good attention to detail
* A positive, problem-solving mindset with a professional attitude
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Demonstrates confidence, creativity and open-mindedness in approaching new challenges
