The Opportunity
We're looking for a detail-oriented, safety-focused and proactive Despatch Clerk to support outbound operations at our state-of-the-art Ravenhall distribution centre. Working in a highly automated environment that combines both manual and automation-enabled fulfilment zones, you'll play a key role in ensuring every order leaves the site accurately, safely, and on time.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll work closely with the Outbound, Order Planning and Inventory teams to coordinate daily despatch activities, verify order accuracy, and maintain efficient outbound flow.
As the primary point of contact for carriers, you'll manage site despatch activities in full alignment with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations — ensuring every load meets legislative and company standards before leaving the facility.
This role is ideal for someone with a logistics or warehouse background who takes pride in accountability, teamwork, and precision.

Key Responsibilities
Despatch Coordination
* Act as the main point of contact for carriers, coordinating arrival times, load priorities, and vehicle handover
* Verify load accuracy, documentation and compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements prior to dispatch
* Coordinate the daily despatch schedule in line with customer delivery timelines and operational priorities
* Liaise with team leaders and order planning to resolve order discrepancies or product availability issues
* Maintain accurate despatch records and communicate clearly with drivers and operations teams
Teamwork & Collaboration
* Work closely with Order Planning and Inventory teams to align product availability and delivery sequencing
* Communicate proactively across teams to anticipate workload changes and manage outbound volumes efficiently
* Support warehouse teams with accurate labelling, scanning and order finalisation to maintain on-time flow
Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement
* Uphold and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all despatch activities are conducted in line with CoR and site safety procedures
* Identify and escalate potential risks or process issues early, offering practical solutions
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving accuracy, compliance and efficiency

Who We're Looking For
* Experience in despatch, warehouse coordination, or logistics administration
* Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) principles and their practical application in daily operations
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills — confident liaising with drivers, carriers and internal departments
* High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Comfortable working with warehouse or order management systems
* A safety-first and problem-solving mindset, with a calm and reliable approach under pressure
* Organised, dependable and motivated to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality outcomes
