Inventory Management Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, with a focus on developing continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practice processes and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise operational efficiencies and site profitability;
* Lead projects to deliver and implement improvement opportunities;
* Establish best practice and oversee the development of Standard Operating Procedures;
* Accountable for inventory integrity, stocktake program, and audit outcomes;
* Accountable for the distribution centre's slotting program, ensuring optimal stock location;
* Develop and deliver continual enhancement to improve stock integrity across the Manhattan WMS;
* Ensure all stock conforms to required standards;
* Oversee miscellaneous and buy-in procedure to ensure integrity of stock movement;
* Provide leadership and direction to Inventory Controllers;
* Ensure HACCP, quality, and food safety requirements are met;
* Ensure Occupational Health & Safety requirements are met;
Requirements
* Excellent knowledge of end-to-end operational, warehouse, distribution, and inventory functions;
* Strong ability to lead and direct a team and collaborate cross-functionally;
* Proven experience in managing a complex, multi-channel, environment;
* Strong ability to analyse internal practices and establish best practice and SOP;
* Strong ability to achieve efficiencies through process mapping and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives;
* Strong ability to manage projects and deliver on time and on budget;
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, OH&S regulations, and cold storage processes;
* Strong business acumen with proven experience in managing inventory adjustments;
* Strong attention to detail;
* A structured, planned approach to work with high levels of verbal and written communication;
* Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional disposition;
* Strong computer literacy and experience in using inventory management systems;
