About the Role
Downer is seeking skilled
Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Technicians, or Fitters
to join our team in
Swanbank, QLD
. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: workshop-based maintenance and the variety of field service. One day you'll be in the workshop, the next you'll be on site diagnosing faults and keeping projects moving.

Key Responsibilities
* Service, repair, and maintain heavy plant machinery and trucks
* Diagnose and resolve breakdowns in the field
* Ensure all work meets Downer's high safety and operational standards
* Work collaboratively within a skilled team while also operating independently
About You
* Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or Fitting (essential)
* Strong hydraulic knowledge and diagnostic skills
* Experience with mobile plant, trucks, and heavy equipment
* Auto electrical experience (highly regarded)
* HR and Forklift licences (desirable)
* A proactive approach and commitment to safety
