The role
Protech are currently seeking Civil Maintenance Labourers to support road and infrastructure maintenance works based at the Lakeland Depot (Cooktown region).
Important: These are NOT FIFO or DIDO roles. Applicants must be local to the Lakeland / Cooktown region.
About the Role
Commencing late June with ongoing work available.
Casual positions with long-term potential.
Based out of Lakeland Depot.
10 days on / 4 days off roster with on-call requirements.
Day and night work required.
Work across local and remote maintenance areas.
Key Responsibilities
- General civil and road maintenance labouring
- Pothole patching and asphalt repairs
- Vegetation control and roadside maintenance
- Cleaning of road furniture and rest areas
- Assisting with traffic control and site set-up
- Working safely around live traffic environments
- Participation in on-call roster as required
Tickets & Experience Required
- Construction White Card
- Traffic Control Ticket (essential)
- Traffic Management Implementation (essential)
- MR Licence or higher (essential)
- Previous civil labouring or outdoor work experience (highly regarded)
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Reliable transport
