ISWA is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our progressive and innovative school.
Located close to Perth and running on a northern hemisphere calendar, ISWA is a non-denominational, independent school welcoming both local and international students from Kindergarten to Year 12. We are looking for a staff member who possesses:
1. A record of innovative practice
2. Knowledge of delivering a concept-based curriculum through inquiry learning
3. An ability to inspire mixed culture and ability classes, by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students
4. A strong desire and proven ability to work in teams in and out of the classroom
5. An outstanding record in building relationships and community with students, parents, and staff
6. An intentional ability to balance academic and social-emotional development and wellbeing
7. Value diversity and belonging and seek to create a classroom environment where all students feel included
8. Curious, open-minded, and willing to change their own thinking and practice
Experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) or in international schools is desired but not essential. If you're a creative, committed teacher eager to grow, we'll support your development. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience in this area.
