We are currently hiring for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Torbanlea, QLD 4662, Australia.
Contract Type: Self-employed (B2B) no visa support will be provided
Job Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues
* Manage and update tickets in the helpdesk system
* Perform break-fix support and fault resolution
* Install, configure, and support Windows OS & MS Office
* Support printers, laptops, desktops, and peripherals
* Basic support for Mac OS (Apple devices)
* Diagnose network connectivity issues using standard tools
* Perform preventive maintenance on IT equipment
* Coordinate with vendors for complex issues (e.g., AV systems)
Required Skills & Experience
* 2–3 years of experience in Desktop Support / IT Support
* Strong knowledge of Windows 7–10 & Office 365
* Experience with Active Directory & Group Policies (GPOs)
* Familiarity with ticketing tools and ITIL processes
* Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting & installations
* Basic understanding of networking, servers, and telecom
* Experience with mobile device management (iOS/Android)
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Certifications like CompTIA A+ / MCP are a plus
